a fairground life
Just when you think things cant get worse, thats when they usually do. The Glasgow River festival has been cancelled due to funding problems. I didnt attend with equipment personally but the showmen who did will feel the economical effects full force. Not even I can see an upside to this. I found this amusing parody a few weeks ago, check the link, it seems like its catching.

Where did you get that from Mr Showman what a laugh and the follow on of gs's waltzer I still have fond memories of pulling three G with my head trying to dislocate itself, all for a bit of fun. But the serious side is of gaff's getting cancelled, where or who does the funding, I suspect the council will be involved if that is the case what about finance from the lottery fund they plus the traders of the area could get involved as it is usually beneficial to them, what about the guild also there must be a way. That takes time I know so maybe we can make a start for the next one.I feel sorry for every one involved and hope they find a way round it. So you are at the links mart Mr Showman where to next hope its fair weather where ever it is. By the way was the wagon next to the trooper your old one? Kind regards Flatty
thats another well known showmans wagon- mr KT who's son still goes to klm with the "fairground attraction". as you can see in the pict thats a carpark the wagon is on. I remember a funny story from 20+ years ago. mr kt pulled into that carpark early one year and the local traffic warden put a parking ticket on every panel that was in a bay-about 10 in all-haha true story with my own eyes. I'm not at klm as i've said before in these pages if i never see it again it will be too soon.
Sorry Mr Showman thought all roads where heading to coddy and guessed that was your next gaff. Only a traffic warden would do something like that, bet you had a good laugh at it, it's something you get out of comics . Suppose kt wasn't laughing. The firm you are talking about with the fa is that the same type as gs's if it is it looks in good nick, obviously another candidate for shiny shows. Flatty
